a. Place telephone calls utilizing Customer’s VHF-FM Marine Radio
tuned to Public Correspondence Channel 27 or 28 (or other locally
available channel). The Customer is entitled to an unlimited number
of phone calls with no limit to amount of time used in each month.
In order to ensure availability of the Service to other Customers
Sea Smart may place a time limit on
each call. From time to time, the Customer may be advised of the current
per call time limit in a particular geographic area.
b. Track, monitor and review Customer’s vessel location information
via the Sea Smart Web site. Customer
will be assigned a Username and Password with which to access their
personal account information, trip history and current vessel location.
Customer understands that this Service requires a DSC-enabled VHF
radio connected to a GPS receiver.
c. Utilize the available Public Correspondence Channels to connect
directly to the Sea Smart Customer Information
and Service Center. This connection may be used to request marine
assistance, local information, and information concerning the installation
and use of the Sea Smart Service, VHF/GPS
integration, MMSI entry and other available information.
d. The assignment of a Maritime Mobile Service Identity (MMSI) number
through Sea Smart. Customer may use
a previously registered MMSI number or will be assigned a number by
the Sea Smart Customer Service Representative
upon registration.
